Stem Cells: Science and Ethics

Stem Cells: Science and Ethics is an educational booklet produced by SIBE with input from selected authors in the field. It covers the science of stem cells and the ethical issues raised; and includes case studies, classroom discussion activities, curriculum links and further resources.

The first edition (2003) was targeted at biology teachers. Following high demand for an update, a second edition (2005) with increased content was produced, which also attracted high demand. In 2009, BBSRC requested SIBE to produce a third edition aimed directly at senior school pupils, and this is now available. See the resources section to download the new booklet and teachers' notes.
